Visiting Artists

The Upper Hunter Conservatorium of Music is thrilled to showcase some of this country's finest musicians as part of our Visiting Artist Concert Series.

The 2016 Visiting Artist Concert Series offers 9 thrilling performances. This is the largest number of concerts we have ever offered. For the first time UHCM has become principal partner with the Sacred Spaces Concerts in Singleton. These 4 concerts, performed in the breathtaking convent chapel, will be outstanding.

Some of our Visiting Artists will perform in our beautiful new performance space in Campbell’s Corner, the Atherston Room. Hear one of Newcastle’s best choirs, the Hunter Singers commemorate the 100th anniversary of the battle of Fromelles. Don’t miss the 1920s elegance of Façade performed by Newcastle Festival Opera, complete with High Tea! A very special gala evening will be performed by UHCM alumni and Julliard graduate, Simone Easthope with concert pianist Benjamin Moser. A intimate performance will be given by former Denman resident Matt McLaren and his band.

Families, children and all music lovers are invited to The Magical Music Time Machine presented by Newcastle Youth Orchestra at Scone High School.
